Are your Mini Goldendoodles AKC Registrable?

Let us explain about our English Cream Golden Minidoodles. Both parents are AKC registered.  The sires, our male white toy poodles, have been shown and have their AKC Championship. Phinn and Joe also have all of their health clearances. Our females are AKC English Cream Golden Retrievers. They are OFA certified and have all of their clearances, as well. Currently, a miniature goldendoodle is considered a “Hybrid Designer Breed” and the AKC does not recognize them at this time.  What you can be assured of is that your puppy came from the best parents that she/he could come from.  We are an ethical breeder.  We have made sure that we have chosen only the top sires and dams, and have also had all of their clearances completed,  unlike many other minidoodle breeders.

What does F1 & F1B Generation mean?

Our F1 English Goldendoodles are a cross between an English Golden Retriever and our long legged Toy Poodle (50% English Golden Retriever/50% Poodle). They tend to have a wavy to straight coat. They usually have a blockier stature from the English Golden Retriever. Our F1’s range from 15–35 pounds.

Our F1B English Goldendoodles are a cross between an F1 English Goldendoodle and our other long legged Toy Poodle (75% Poodle/25% English Golden Retriever) making them more hypo-allergenic. They tend to have a more wavy to curly coat. Our F1Bs range from 12–20 pounds.

We’re happy to answer any questions regarding the difference between “generations”!

What do you feed your dogs?

At Royal Minidoodles, we feed our dogs exclusively Purina Pro Plan Focus Chicken and Rice Formula. We do a lot of research to make sure that our dogs are always getting the best food on the market. Purina Pro Plan is made with high-quality, natural ingredients, and active nutrients and antioxidants – and our dogs love it!

Our moms are started on the Purina Pro Plan Focus as soon as they are bred and are fed this until they’re 6 weeks past weaning their puppies. This makes the transition for our puppies from mom to puppy food, very easy!

Do your doodles shed?

One of the great characteristics of the cross between the poodle and the English Cream Golden Retriever is that the puppies take on the non-shedding gene of the poodle. At Royal, we see little to no shedding in our puppies. Our sires have amazingly soft and silk like fur.  This makes our puppies’ fur simply mink like!  Although we will not claim that our puppies do not shed, we will tell you that they are very low-shedding.

Do you only have extremely pale puppies?

While we “specialize” in very light colored English Cream Miniature Golden-doodles, we also produce a variety of shades. One of our specific females carries a lot of color in her bloodline so she produces some puppies that have  beautiful, RICH, apricot, caramel, and cream coats. Contrary to what some believe, British or English “Cream”  Golden Retrievers actually come in a variety of colors from a very pale cream to a very dark red.  The color is based the genetics that the dog carries.

Do you allow visitors?

Of course we welcome visitors, which quickly become friends to Royal Minidoodles!  You are always welcome in our home, however it’s not always possible to visit with our puppies.  We are very strict as to when we allow others to see and hold our babies based on when they have had their vaccinations.  It is our ultimate goal to raise healthy, happy puppies and to do this, we must make sure that no foreign bacteria is carried into their facilities before they have their complete immunities!  Believe me, it is as hard for us as it is for you!  We are always anxious to “SHOW OFF” our beautiful babies, but we have to remember what’s best for everyone!  We want you to get your perfect puppy!  We do ask that you call first and make an appointment so we can make sure we have plenty of time to spend answering your questions and making you feel at home.
