About the Breed

CONGRATULATIONS for choosing one of the Most AMAZING Breeds!  Royal Minidoodles turn heads everywhere they go thanks to their small stature, adorable faces and beautiful mink-like coats. But they’re more than just a cute face – they’re also hypoallergenic and virtually shed-free.

For many years, the poodle cross puppies have become very popular due to the fact that there is less shedding and once a dog becomes crossed with another breed, it becomes a healthier variety of each one, producing a healthier all around dog.

One of THE most popular breeds today is the American Goldendoodle.

A majority of Goldendoodles come from American Golden Retrievers, which are sadly plagued with 68% chance of developing cancer and a high risk of hip dysplasia. However, our moms are AKC 100% English Cream Golden Retriever’s with Champion bloodlines, OFA certifications and clearances, and have a considerably lower rate of cancer.

We searched long and hard for our sires,  handsome AKC Champion toy poodles. These Champion poodles with our Champion bloodline moms produce extremely rare 100% champion bloodline English Cream Mini Golden Doodles. That means these puppies will be smaller, live longer, and incur less vet expenses!

The Toy Poodle is 10 inches or under at the highest point of the shoulders. Any Poodle which is more than 10 inches at the highest point of the shoulders shall be disqualified from competition as a Toy Poodle and cannot compete in the AKC show ring as a toy poodle!  When we decided to breed English Cream Miniature Goldendoodles, we took this decision, VERY SERIOUSLY.  We looked long and hard for THE PERFECT foundation Stud Dog for our puppies. We passed up MANY other poodles before finding PHIN! He set the standard for what we would look for in the future for all of our sires.

All of our sires are AKC Champions, they have to not only have a white mom and dad, but also be from a totally white genetic background.  ( you see you can breed a white mom to a black dad and get a white puppy.  We did NOT want this!  We wanted to make sure that we had white genetics all the way back!).  He had to have been raised with children and socialized to the max!  Last but possibly most importantly, he had to be from a genetically “Long-Legged” background.  Upon doing our research at Purdue University, we found out that there is actually a genetic long and short legged poodle.  Problem is, you can’t tell this from looking at them.  It has to be researched.  IF YOU BREED A GOLDEN RETRIEVER TO A SHORT LEGGED POODLE,YOU WILL GET PUPPIES THAT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SUPPORT THEIR WEIGHT INTO ADULTHOOD!!!  The BIGGEST problem with this is that you are NOT able to tell this when you look at these darling little puppies at 8 weeks old!!  You won’t know until IT’S TOO LATE!  Not until you have grown attached to your baby and he begins to have severe hip and joint problems because the breeder did not take the time, effort and money to do the research and purchase a quality CHAMPION Male long-legged POODLE!!!  The consequences are DISASTROUS and HEART-BREAKING!

Because our Female’s weigh between 45-65 pounds, our puppies weigh in at different weights too.  We have actually had puppies that have reached only 7 pounds full grown, although that is not usual.  Our normal first generation puppies weigh between 20-40 pounds full grown. Our F1b puppies will weigh between 12-20 pounds when grown. We are not able to guarantee what size your puppy will be when it is full grown!  That is simply impossible!  We will however, be able to give you a close idea of the size based on previous litters and the size it is at 8 weeks of age.  Of course, normally the smaller the mom, the smaller the puppies.

Mini-Golden doodles seem to be a GREAT size for many singles, couples and families!  They are great for small apartment living due to the fact that they don’t take up much room and they are virtually shed free.  They are also great for anyone that has either a fenced in yard or acres to run and play!  Royal minidoodles are AT HOME  anywhere they decide to call their Palace!  We’re positive these gorgeous puppies will shower you with years of love, licks and loyalty!
